Autumn: Mojito Garden
Mojito is a traditional Cuban highball. Traditionally, a mojito is a cocktail that consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime juice, soda water, and mint. The original Cuban recipe uses spearmint or yerba buena, a mint variety very popular on the island.
This plan is perfect for those of us who aren't quite ready to let go of summer. Everything is perennial, aside from the borage. This means your veggies will survive a few years instead of just a couple seasons. More cocktails for more years! To extend your harvest season consider protecting your crops from frost.
It is important to keep on top the harvest for all the plants in this plan. The continuous picking and pruning asks the plant to keep producing fruit or leaves.
